Mini Stepper Mixed-SKU Receiving Checklist

Receive a mixed mini stepper delivery by purchase-order line and SKU, then reconcile the total. Compare the carton label and quantity with the packing list, check the contents of selected cartons against the approved variant, and hold any stock whose identity, condition, or pack contents cannot be confirmed. A correct shipment total can still hide a shortage of one SKU and an overage of another.

Prepare one reference for each variant before delivery

Give receiving staff the latest purchase order, packing list, and approved variant references. For each line, show the buyer SKU, factory model, carton identifiers, units per carton, and the expected retail label or barcode. Add the distinguishing details that apply to that SKU, such as finish, included accessories, or manual version. Attach a photo of the approved carton label and unit so staff can tell apart similar boxes.

The mini stepper OEM and private-label guide covers how to approve those variants during sampling. Pass the approved references to the warehouse before the shipment arrives.

Copyable receiving record for a mixed mini stepper shipment

Create one record per SKU and lot where a lot identifier is available. Split the record if part of the same SKU needs a different disposition. Count cartons before converting them to units, and enter partial or repacked cartons using the verified actual count.

Fields for each SKU and lot at receiving
Field What to record
Delivery reference PO and line number, packing list reference, arrival date, and pallet or carton identifiers.
Expected stock Buyer SKU, factory model and variant, lot if shown on shipping documents, and ordered units.
Received stock Observed label and lot, full cartons, verified units per full carton, loose units, and the variance against the PO line.
Opened cartons Carton IDs, unit label and finish, expected versus observed accessories or manual, and sample check result.
Condition and evidence Seal and carton condition, any visible unit damage or leakage, photos, and the affected quantities.
Disposition Units cleared for stock, units on hold, hold location, decision owner, and follow-up reference.

Check look-alike cartons before you put them away

  1. Separate cartons by the label and count them per PO line. Record unreadable or conflicting labels separately. Keep carton or pallet identifiers attached while you investigate.
  2. Open cartons according to the receiving plan. Cover each variant and any lots required by the plan so one finish or bundle cannot stand in for another. Match the unit label, physical variant, applicable barcode, and pack contents to the same approved SKU reference.
  3. If you find a mismatch, hold the affected cartons and expand the check to the relevant SKU, lot, or pallet until you can document the scope. Keep cartons with visible damage separate and preserve the labels and packaging for review under your receiving procedure.

For label and barcode setup before shipment, see the fitness equipment packaging and barcode guide.

Release confirmed stock and document exceptions

Release units after their line-level counts, identity, and applicable receiving checks are accepted. Record shortages and overages on their own lines. If a carton label names one SKU but its contents match another, keep the affected quantity on hold until the responsible team verifies the physical stock and approves the correction.

Copyable discrepancy message “For PO [number], line [line], expected [SKU, variant, quantity]. In [pallet/carton IDs] we observed [label, contents, or condition]. We are holding [quantity] units. Photos and counts by SKU are attached. Please confirm the affected scope and proposed resolution.”
